Jamie's clients have come to them experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and many other presenting concerns. In therapy they strive to understand and clarify their clients' goals and help clients work toward building insight around their concerns. You don't have to know exactly what your goals might be, and while you are working with Jamie you can always add or change your goals as you progress. This is your treatment and Jamie's hope is that you take an active role in determining the direction and depth of the work that you do together. Jamie's goal is that you can end every session feeling that you have made some step toward progress.
Jamie values creating a close, personal connection with each of their clients and using the therapeutic relationship to explore and understand other relationships in your life. Jamie works predominantly from an interpersonal perspective, but incorporates tenets of ACT, psychodynamic, feminist multicultural, and other therapies and techniques as the needs of their clients require. Jamie is particularly passionate about working with LGB, trans, and gender diverse clients., and any clients who are navigating life transitions. Because of Jamie's training as a scientist-practitioner, you can be assured that Jamie takes into account modern science and evidence based practice in your treatment.

In addition to individual services, Jamie facilitates Tabletop Role Playing Game Therapy. No group is currently running; if enough potential clients indicate interest in pursuing this type of group therapy Jamie will work with prospective participants to create a group experience that can help clients work toward their goals in the context of a tabletop role playing therapy game.
Jamie is in-network for Regence of Washington and Aetna insurance plans, but please check with your insurance provider about coverage. Jamie also accepts private payment for services rendered and is happy to help you work with your PPO insurance by providing you with invoices, superbills, and other information needed for reimbursement. If you are planning to use your out-of-network insurance benefit, please contact your insurance company to ask about coverage and what is necessary for reimbursement. Jamie uses Headway for in-network services and HIPAA-secure IVY Pay to process out-of-network payments. Full fees for services are due at the time of service. Limited numbers of sliding scale appointments are available upon request and may not always be available.
